A very high percentage of questions we get are from users who have not updated their SPi or G2 pod. Most issues can be solved just by performing this task, so every now and again run the SPi or G2 Suite and click Get Updates and follow the on-screen instructions.

SPi - The Automotive Service and Diagnostics Tool The SP Diagnostics SPi is not just an updated ACR4, it's a brand new diagnostic and service tool, whilst keeping all the most loved features of the ACR range of products. The ACR4 and previous models were all fast, simple and easy to use, and also handheld and compact. The new SPi keeps all of these key concepts and improves on them. The SPi makes things even simpler, it uses 1 main lead, so there is no swapping cables for all 16 pin connectors, all software is stored on a single 2GB SD card that stays in the unit whilst you use it, so you never need to swap pods or cards. Easy to follow instructions using only 7 buttons! Like the ACR, the SPi doesn't just display the basic set of EOBD information, it shows you vehicle manufacturer specific information and data, saving you time and money, it also lets you perform vehicle specific operations, like special service functions, without the need to visit a main dealer.
