SP Diagnostics Fast Track Update - SD21.1 iMAP & iKeys Update
Welcome to the Fast Track Application Update
You will receive this email with each release to advise you of the additions made to iKeys and iMAP software. When we release new software we will also notify you via the SP Diagnostics notification tool that is included as part of the SPi and G2 Suites. From time to time we will also include other important information that is relevant to our iMAP and iKeys users.
Highlights include Vauxhall Insignia and Antara, Honda Civic and CRV, Mercedes, Volvo, Land Rover / Range Rover EPB on SPi, BMW Airbag, Mercedes Sprinter & VW Crafter SLR, PSA Key
New Advanced Code Lookup Function for the SPi Handset
Subscribed SPi users can now make use of the new advanced code lookup function, this automatic function allows you to retrieve even more trouble code descriptions across virtually all systems.
Follow this process to use the new function:

Look out for the right arrow icon in the top right corner when you get an error code displayed.
Press the Right button on the SPi
|
|
Confirm that you wish to look up the code by pressing the OK button.
This code will automatically be used to start the look up process.
|
|
You have a chance to change or amend the code using the virtual keyboard before you look it up.
Select and press the bottom right enter key on the keyboard.
|
|
The description for the 0109 code is now displayed
This function uses the appropriate manufacturer code depending on what system you are using, rather than just generic EOBD codes.

To exit press the ESC button on the SPi, you will then return to the starting point.

ACR & SPi – It’s Not Just a Code Reader!
Garages are now seeing an increase in vehicles that need electronic service tasks performing, such as electronic park brake, injector coding, diesel pump matching, service light reset, conditional based servicing, etc.
|
You already have the diagnostic equipment and knowledge, so you have a huge head start over the competition and massive potential in the future.
- Nationals/fast fits are years behind in terms of diagnostics (you already have the kit)
- They will find it hard to invest in equipment and training for each branch
- The scrapage scheme will see more advanced cars entering your market
- Tyre fitters will soon need diagnostic equipment
- Vehicle owners are extremely reluctant to pay dealer prices
- Garages prepared for the diagnostic influx will be in a position to take on this extra work
We don’t want you losing customers or turning work away, so were working hard to ensure our users have access to a wide range of service type functions as well as diagnostics.
Get ahead of the game, don’t just think of using your equipment for diagnostics and remember there is more to the ACR - G2 and SPi....
